When You Might Need This
You may need to update your domain login email if:
- The email attached to a domain registered on ImprovMX is not the right one
- Initial setup errors occurred
- You want to use a different login email address
Requirements
You must have access to your domain's DNS configuration settings, as DNS verification is part of the transfer mechanism.
Steps to Update Your Domain Email
Step 1: Access the DNS Login Option
Navigate to the ImprovMX login page and look for the link: "Prefer to connect using your domain's DNS entry?"
Step 2: Add a DNS TXT Record
The system will request that you add a specific TXT record to your domain's DNS settings. This step verifies legitimate domain ownership.
Step 3: Wait for Verification
ImprovMX's servers check for this DNS entry periodically. Once detected, your domain automatically transfers to the email address you specified.
Step 4: Confirm via Email
After verification completes, you will receive a one-time login link sent to the new email address associated with your domain.
