Vercel DNS Setup For ImprovMX
Quickly and easily set up your domain's DNS records in Vercel for ImprovMX email forwarding.
1. Add MX & SPF Records Using Vercel Preset
Navigate to your Vercel dashboard, go to the Domains tab, and select your domain.
Vercel provides a convenient preset for ImprovMX. Click Add DNS Preset, select the ImprovMX [MX] preset from the available options, then click Add records.
Remove any non-ImprovMX MX records. Your DNS configuration should only contain the ImprovMX MX records to avoid conflicts.
The preset will add the following records:
First MX Record:
- Type: MX
- Name:
@ - Value:
mx1.improvmx.com - Priority:
10
Second MX Record:
- Type: MX
- Name:
@ - Value:
mx2.improvmx.com - Priority:
20
Manual SPF Record (if not included in preset)
If the SPF record is not added by the preset, add a TXT record manually:
- Type: TXT
- Name:
@ - Value:
v=spf1 include:spf.improvmx.com ~all
Click Add.
2. Verification
DNS changes can take up to 24-48 hours to propagate, but usually happen sooner.
We'll notify you once the records are detected. You can also click Check Again in the ImprovMX dashboard to see if the changes are already active.
Once propagated, your domain will display "Email forwarding active" in the dashboard.
