Do you support ARC (Authenticated Received Chain)?

How ImprovMX handles ARC for email authentication.

What is ARC?

ARC (Authenticated Received Chain) functions like a travel log for emails. As messages traverse multiple servers, each can add digital signatures documenting the email's authenticity at that stage. This helps prevent legitimate communications from being flagged as spam when servers modify them during transmission.

What ImprovMX Supports

Outbound ARC Signing: We sign outgoing emails that pass through our forwarding infrastructure, adding our own authentication layer to the message chain.

What ImprovMX Does Not Support

Inbound ARC Validation: We do not validate incoming emails that already carry ARC signatures. This is because we cannot verify the original sender's legitimacy without establishing a list of trusted senders, which is not feasible for us to maintain.

Note: While ImprovMX contributes to email authentication chains through outbound signing, inbound ARC validation is not part of our service.
