What do we log?
Email Metadata (7-day retention)
For each email we process, we log:
- Delivery event dates (received, delivered, bounced, refused)
- Sending server information and FQDN
- Email subject, FROM address, and destination alias
- Event details: type, server response, status codes, IP addresses, communication duration, delivery attempts
Account Changes (365-day retention)
We log modifications to email forwarding configurations, such as domain additions or removals.
What We Don't Log
We never ever log the content of the emails we forward. We never ever log your communications.
Purpose
The logs are accessed only when you reach out to us and help us identify why an email wouldn't be forwarded. After the retention periods expire, data is automatically deleted.
We like to be able to look ourselves in the mirror.
