Can I use MX records from multiple forwarders?
Why ImprovMX requires exclusive use of our MX records.
No, we do not support using MX records from multiple email forwarding services simultaneously. Mail often ignores priority, which causes email drops and delivery failures with our service.
The Problem
While it may appear advantageous to maintain multiple forwarders for redundancy, the practice creates significant compatibility issues with our infrastructure that we cannot adequately support.
Our Policy
You can technically configure multiple MX records, but ImprovMX cannot guarantee proper functionality or troubleshoot related issues. As long as at least one email processes through ImprovMX weekly or monthly, your domain remains active on our service.
Recommendation
For reliable email delivery, configure only ImprovMX MX records for your domain when using our forwarding service.
