Manage Multiple Domain Emails from One Gmail

By Matthew Tse

Managing emails for multiple domains doesn't have to mean juggling multiple inboxes. With ImprovMX and Gmail, you can consolidate everything into a single inbox while keeping each domain's identity intact.

The problem

You own several domains and need professional email addresses for each one. Managing separate inboxes for each domain is time-consuming and easy to miss important messages.

The solution

ImprovMX forwards emails from all your domains to your single Gmail address. Combined with Gmail's "Send mail as" feature and ImprovMX SMTP, you can reply from any of your domain addresses.

Step 1 - Set up forwarding

Add each domain to ImprovMX and create aliases that forward to your Gmail address. Configure your DNS records as directed.

Step 2 - Configure "Send mail as" in Gmail

Go to Gmail Settings > Accounts > Send mail as > Add another email address. Enter your domain email and use ImprovMX SMTP settings (smtp.improvmx.com, port 587, your SMTP credentials).

Step 3 - Organize with labels and filters

Create Gmail filters to automatically label incoming emails by domain. This helps you quickly identify which domain an email was sent to.

Pro tips

  • Set up keyboard shortcuts in Gmail for quick label navigation.
  • Use Gmail's multiple inbox view to see emails from different domains side by side.
