New feature: Hybrid MX options now available

Introduction

We're excited to announce hybrid MX options — a powerful new feature that gives you more flexibility in how you handle email for your domain.

What are hybrid MX options?

Hybrid MX allows you to use ImprovMX alongside another email provider. For example, you can use Google Workspace for some addresses while forwarding others through ImprovMX.

Why hybrid?

Many organizations use a primary email provider (like Google Workspace or Microsoft 365) but still want the flexibility of ImprovMX's forwarding for catch-all addresses, team distribution lists, or specific aliases.

How it works

In your domain settings, you can now configure MX record priority to work alongside other providers. ImprovMX will handle emails that don't match your primary provider's configured addresses.

• Catch-all forwarding alongside Google Workspace
• Department-specific forwarding while using Microsoft 365
• Gradual migration from one email provider to another
• Backup email forwarding for critical addresses

Setup guide

To get started:

1. Navigate to your domain settings in the ImprovMX dashboard
2. Enable Hybrid MX mode
3. Configure your MX records according to the provided instructions
